God's Covenant with Me

I am striving to live in a way that honors my parents, lets my light shine, maximizes my gifts in the service of others, and helps the poor. I have decided that my aim in life is a PhD in Art Therapy because having that goal orients me in the right way. With that goal I am concerned with maximizing my gifts in the service of others. With that goal I am concerned with making a contribution and helping out people in need. I also see that goal as incetivizing for me because I desire to do something interesting, creative, hard, challening, and rewarding with the time I have left and a PhD in Art Therapy meets that criteria, and because I am willing to strive for it, in the process I have already and will continue to be willing to help others along the way. I feel like God has told me in my heart - here is how you honor your parents, let your light shine, help others, and maximize your gifts. So, I do feel like God has made an agreement with me - one that involves effort, growth, progression, along a path that is in alignment with His will.

I wanted the repeating patterns to elicit thoughts of progression before and after what can be seen and to indicate growth. I hoped the triangles would feel like peaks or mountains and that the sun-like symbol above each triangle would feel like goals or acheivements. I wanted the implication of the growth to be continuous so that there could be the idea of a long history of struggle and even smaller peaks and also so that there could be an idea of growth even in the after life. I think that if I aim to honor my parents, let my light shing, maximize my gifts in the service of others, and help those in need, which are all aspects of how I follow Jesus, then that pattern could likely carry on into the next life.
